Christianity[1] is the largest religion in the world. It is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion composed of various sects, centered on Jesus Christ.[2]
However, unlike in reality, in My Immortal, Christianity has been reduced to a "prep" religion. As the main character, Enopby, is Stanist, all Christians are characterized negatively. For example, Snap is said to be Christian in an author's note,[3] despite actions that do not fit a Christian worldview whatsoever. This trait is used to justify his hatred for Harry "Vampire" Potter, who is a Satanist, making the basis for their conflict a religious one, even though this and many of Snoop's other actions (such as spying on a seventeen-year-old naked) would be condemned by the vast majority of actual Christians. Of course, this trait of Snap's is only mentioned once, and is kind of irrelevant.
Being a Christian, or "Christina", is also used insultingly by Ebony, when she thinks Draco is a prep.[4]
It should also be noted that religion plays absolutely no part in the original Harry Potter series, so any known Christians or references related to their religion are completely fabricated by Tara.
