Jenny "Darkness" Weasley is a character from My Immortal. She is yet another character from canon who has been ravaged by the author into adopting a completely new personality.
Since she is related to Ron "Diabolo" Weasley, she appears to be loosely based on Ginny Weasley, as the misspelled "Jenny" indicates, even though she has no resemblance to her.
Background[]
Darkness is the sister of Diabolo, Crab and Goyle and is also a friend of Ebony. Her father was a vampire who raped her and her brothers, which is why she became a Stanist goff.[1] Her name has been changed to "Darkness", even though she is occasionally referred to as "Ginnie" and "Ginny".[2]
Role in the story[]
Darkness first appears in Chapter 22, when Ebony finds her and a bunch of other goffs standing in her room after she wakes up. She helps Ebony get ready to go back in time by helping her put on goff clothes and make-up. Like the other minor goffs, she barely has any dialogue, and is usually just there to have her own goff clothes described.
Differences from the original[]
In canon, Ginny married Harry after the Second Wizarding War and had three children with him. In this story, however, she doesn't appear to have a love interest, as Vampire is more interested in Ebony or Draco. Also, the notion of her father raping his children is absurd, as her parents Arthur and Molly were shown to be very loving, albeit protective.
Trivia[]
- Interestingly, Tara claims Darkness is "Jenny", and Raven's real name happens to be Jenny/Jennie. If there wasn't already an avatar of Raven in this story (Willow), it could be assumed that Darkness would take that role.
- Ginny appears to be in Ghost of You as the character "Virginia", who still goes by Ginny, and seems to serve as an insert for Tara.
