Flaming is the act of posting insults on the Internet.[1]
In the author's notes of My Immortal, Tara frequently accuses reviewers of flaming her story. For example, as early as Chapter Two she urges "preps" to "stop flaming ma story ok". In fact, at the beginning of nearly every chapter is a warning to "preps" to stop flaming. The only exception is Chapter One, if only because no one had pointed out how terrible the fic was before she posted it. Also rendered as: "flamming, flamigng, f;aming, flassing, f,aing and glamming."
When Hargrid's magical fire was introduced, Tara made a pun by saying, "Ha ha, you reviewers! Flames, get it?".
