Griffindoor, also called Gryiffindoor, is one of the student houses at Hogwarts school in England. It bears little resemblance to the canon Gryffindor, upon which it is based. Griffindoor is home only to preps and Christians who hate the goffik Slytherins.

Confirmed members[]

Gold Christian Cross no Red

Conversion to Christianity is enough to facilitate a move in houses.

  • Snap: Although never explained why, Snap was moved to Griffindoor, apparently because of his fear of Satanists, due to his Christianity. Snap used to be goffik, or at least a poser, in the '80s.
  • Britney: Enemy to all goffs, a prep, and the consummate Griffindoor. Curiously, Vampire Potter dated her at one point. Of course, it is possible that she used to be goffik when Vampire dated her.

Former members[]

  • B'loody Mary Smith: She apparently belonged to Griffindoor at one time, but moved to Slytherin house after converting to Satanism. In a later author's note, it's stated that B'loody Mary moved houses because she is an evil vampire.
  • Dracula: After converting to Satanism, Dracola was apparently moved from Griffindoor to Slytherin.
  • Diabolo Weasley: Presumably moved to Slytherin as well.
  • Vampire Potter: May have been moved to Slytherin.

Possible members[]

  • Dumblydore: Was a Gryffindoor in canon, and given his preppy ways, likely here as well.
  • Professor McGoggle: Another canonical Gryffindoor.
  • Loopin: Given that he was Gryffindoor in canon, and the fact that he's Snap's accomplice, he's probably Gryffindoor too.

Differences from the original[]

Just about the only similarities Griffindoor and the canon Gryffindor are the fierce rivalry with Slytherin and the slight favouritism Gryffindor has. Gryffindor in the whole is associated with courage, chivalry and determination, rather than being preps and Christians. Though admittedly this image is not too far off, considering canonically it is the house most associated with jocks and popular kids. They just don't listen to Hillary Duff.
