A Pensive (also spelled Prinsive) is a device used to travel through time in the My Immortal universe. It is based on the Pensieve from Harry Potter. Pensieves are magical basins filled with solid light used to review memories.
However, in My Immortal, Pensives are some type of magical item capable of time travel to the past. They can be used to access the 1980s, but one must use a Time Tuner to return to the present after one hour. Also unlike the original, they are large enough to be jumped into.[1]
